Photos!
Katie here!I’ve assembled a gallery of photos that I feel really capture the past almost eight years that Oliver and I have spent together. Hikes, house projects, rocks, yard projects, gardening, concerts, travel, rocks, forest service cabins, pets, snuggles, other defining moments, rocks… It’s all here! Including proof that 100% of pets (plus me) think that Oliver is the best pillow. So many people that we know and love (that’s you!) live far away; Oliver doesn’t have social media, and I’ve been pretty bad about posting over the years, so I hope these photos help give you a good sense of who we are as individuals, who we are to each other, and the relationship and life that we’ve been forging together. We both look forward to adding to these moments with all of you! Note: While photos from a specific event are grouped together, the photos, overall, are in no particular order!

PSA: Tillers are NOT designed or built to remove rocks from heavy soil! (but they kinda' work. Until the driveshaft snaps...)

Proof that Oliver looked VERY youthful in 2018.
More proof.

A polite grizzly bear.
Our short ORD layover turned into a 5 hour layover, which turned into "we're boarding in an hour" as soon as we got off the L in downtown. Just enough time to grab cubanos from Cafecito, point at some architecture, and get back on the Blue Line!
WE SAW WEIRD AL IN 2025!!!!!!!!!

"I think this bleeding heart would look great right here!" (Oliver with a rock pt. 2)
This tiller is amazing. (Just to be clear, all of these rocks are different rocks.)
Oliver: "You know how that linden in the back yard was always sickly, and when I removed the stump, all of the roots were splayed outwards? I think I know why..." This is an unfinished concrete slab of unknown dimensions. Oliver uncovered a 4' x 8' wide section before he gave up. It is over a gas line.
Koira = best helper.
Hiking to Hidden Lakes + Finks sandwiches + hammock naps = summer tradition.

We made some (unfortunately unsurprising) discoveries when we removed our extra-sketchy upper deck.
